Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptySat Jul 10, 2010 5:01 pm

They have schools for demons which start at the typical time of year in the fall and ends in the last weeks of spring. Most of these schools are the type where students stay in a dorm with a roommate and only return home for holidays. It's a typical school life, well, at least as typical it can get for demons, with the usual drama and such.

But what do these demons do after the school year ends? Most have families that they can go home to, but there are some that don't have a home. They came to this school because they had no other place to go. Either way, whether they have a home they can go to or not, the school grounds are closed during the summer until the school year starts again. What are all these teenage demons to do? Do they sit at home watching the television, hang out at the mall with their friends, or pass the time with hobbies? Most parents would want their child to be more productive with their life. And as for the ones with no homes but the school, they need a place for during the summer.

And this is why they have camp.

Located in the mountains with tall evergreen trees, there is a camp specifically for teenage demons of all sorts. This camp looks like your typical camp. There are cabins to sleep in that fit about four to about eight people, a cafeteria where meals are served, as well as an outdoor theater for many uses. Since it is summer, no camp is complete without a pool and other recreational activities such as rock-climbing, a zip-line, a large field for sports, various obstacle courses, and trails through the forests of the mountains.

One of the rules at the camp is that no one is allowed to leave without permission from the warden. If ones parents come to get them, they are allowed to leave then with their parents. To strictly enforce this rule, there is a dome barrier covering the entire grounds of the camp. The only way in and out is through the front entrance at the parking lot. The barrier cannot be destroyed by anyone and any attempt is merely futile and a waste of energy. This barrier also keeps humans off of the camp grounds which allow the campers to just be themselves, and not have to worry about humans finding out about demons and the like.

There is no set activity schedule and the campers are able to partake in any activity they want. The only schedule is the one for meals. Breakfast is served from 9am until 10am, followed by lunch which is served from 12pm to 1pm. Last is dinner which starts at 5:30pm and goes until 6:30pm. Most outdoor activities close after the sun has set. Times for the various activities are as followed:
Front office: 9:00am-9:00pm
Zip-line, rock-climbing, trails, field: 9:30am-8:30pm
Pool: 11:00am-5:00pm
Gym: 10:00am-10:30pm

Lights out is at 12:00pm. Everyone must be inside their assigned cabins, unless otherwise specified by a camp staff member. You are not allowed to leave your cabin until 8:00am. Each cabin has its own indoor bathroom so there is no need to leave the cabins to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Girls are not allowed near the boy's cabins, and boys are not allowed near the girl's cabins. Each cabin is bottom a staff member so they can watch over the teens in their cabin to make sure there are no problems. For lack a batter term, they will be called "Cabin Chiefs". They sleep in the cabin with the campers and often have many responsibilities for the campers in their cabin. Generally, these people have volunteered to take this position.

This camp runs through the whole summer. Since there is no set schedule of events, campers are allowed to stay for the whole summer, for a month, or just for one week. The cost is cheap to attend the camp which makes the parents more eager to send their kid(s) to the camp. For those who do not have homes to go to, they are allowed to attend the camp without having to pay money. However, they are required to help out around the camp as payment for staying there. It is usually simple things such as cleaning in the kitchen, picking up trash, running errands for staff members, and helping out in many other ways. The camp usually does not burden a camper with the task of helping around the camp as payment, because they want the camper to enjoy their stay.

No camp is without its drama of course, whether it's strained friendships or love confessions gone wrong, it's everywhere. The camp seems to be cursed in which drama is right around the corner for everyone. Or it could just be that when you put more than fifty hormonal teenagers in one place things are bound to go awry. Well, that's what camp counselors are for.

And since we all need to know where we are...

Camp Sequoia CampSequoiaMap-Numbered

Rules:
•No godmodding and power-playing.
•Follow all DC forum rules.
•It's my RP, so whatever I say is law and must be followed.
•Only staff members can be quite strong. Campers must be like the dimwitted teenagers they are, which means they can't have a lot of powers. More like, for example, a demon that controls water. They can control water, typical stuff, but every now and then they'll mess up because they're not perfect. Also, if they control water, they cannot also control wind or fire. For elemental type powers, please choose one.
•Powers is a very touchy subject and if I try to go over it all in here, the rules will become very long. Therefore, please make sure you think before you choose on a power. When you PM me your form I will then make you change your power into something more reasonable if need be, or tell you it's fine.
•Follow all camp rules. I put the barrier up to make sure our setting does not spread out of the camp grounds. This way I do not have to state where we are exactly in America.
•Just because we are in America does not mean your character has to be American.
•You must write at least seven sentences with good grammar and little to no spelling errors in this semi-literate RP. I did not say five because I am trying to make this RP as literate as possible without overburdening RPers with the task of writing two paragraphs every post. This way we can have a more relaxed atmosphere and focus more on having fun.
•All Profiles must be PMed to me. DO NOT POST YOUR PROFILES. They must be PMed to me. If you fail to follow this rule, I might not allow you to join this RP. Of course, if I see you have an exceptional profile I'll want you to join. You'll still have to PM me your profile of course.
•I will post the accepted forms.
•You may be a staff member of the camp.
•You may PM me about changes to your profile and we will go over the changes you want.
•Since this is camp, you can come join the RP at any time.
•There is no limit to how many of types of certain demons or other creatures there can be. Same goes for powers. I don't care if five people share similar powers over water or wind, etc.
•Romance, violence, and anything else to cause drama is encouraged.
•Keep it at a PG-13 level please. No R-rated stuff please.
•Wreak havoc please. Don't be boring.
•Have fun!

Campers:

Username: WonderBubbles
Name: Elymasu
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Roommate:
Species/type of demon: Cat Demon
Powers: Elymasu can talk to animals. She’s best with mammals, and better again with the feline species. She barely understands aquatic animals, and is unsure about reptiles.
Personality: To say Elymasu is outgoing would be an understatement. She talks to everyone, and then herself when there is no one to talk to. She loves to make friends, whether they are fellow demons, animals or anything else that can communicate with her. The only kind of creature she dislikes is dog demons. She has had bad experiences with them.
Since she is very playful, she will chase anything from a dragon’s tail, to a mouse. Elymasu is completely obsessed with shiny things. She hoards all matter of gems, shiny metals or glittery items. Anything that catches and reflects the sunlight, really. If she sees a sparkly gem on someone’s necklace, she will pounce on it and try to take it.
That said; she can be ditzy at times to the point of sheer idiocy. She seems to be incredibly innocent, but is quite perverted. She isn’t embarrassed easily and isn’t sure why others can become embarrassed around her.
History: Originally from Sweden, she retains a slight accent. Her parents moved to America when she was six. Her father, with his wandering eye, left her mother for another sort of demon. Elymasu still resents him for it, but doesn’t like to talk about her parentage. Her mother worked hard to look after her, gaining another husband just to look after her only child. That second husband was completely head over heels for her mother and didn’t notice how distant she was from him. Even though Elymasu’s father had left her, she still loved him.
The young cat demon wandered away from her home one day, while her parents were at work. She was set upon by a pack of dog demons who claimed she was in their territory. She hides the scars under her strips of purple leather that she wears.
Her mother was the one that found Camp Sequoia for her. She decided that it would be best for her daughter to be around new people. Elymasu has been visiting for the past two summers, so she is now a regular to the Camp.

Username: Kira
Name: Yukari Dayoshi
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Roommate: Elymasu
Species/type of demon: Fox demon
Powers: Yukari's powers are over the element of water, which in turn is affected by the phases of the moon. Also, she is the kind of fox demon that can gain nine tails. So far, she has eight tails in her demon form. Yukari has been taking lessons in martial arts since she was very young and gained her black belt at the age of 15. From there she continual trains to stay in top form and become better.
Personality: Despite being a touch chick, she's very friendly and sociable. All her friends say she's way too hyper all the time and is the craziest person they know. But, she's always fun to be with even if she can seem like a brat at times. She loves her friends and family, and always invites friends to spend time with her. Even though she's so friendly and outgoing, she's not a "popular kid" but she's not a "loser" or "jock" either. She practically has her own category of just being an in the middle. It may not seem like, but it's only with friends that she wants to be a big attention grabber. In large groups with people she doesn't know so well she'd rather be invisible.
History: She grew up in a typical demon home that fit in with human society. Ever since she could walk she took lessons at a close family friend's dojo. By the age of fifteen she was a black belt and participating in tournaments for kids her age and level. Yukari has no siblings, so her parents spend most of their money on her. She can seem a bit spoiled, but her parents do discipline her. They make her do chores around the house like dishes and laundry. When her parents learned of the camp she could go to, they sent her to go for the whole summer despite her protests. Yukari wanted to stay home and hangout with her friends, but her parents sent her anyways, telling her to make some new friends there.
Human Appearance:

Demon Appearance:
Spoiler:

Username: Shiro
Name: Eiko Hisashi
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Roommate: Elymasu, Yukari
Species/type of demon: She's basically an oracle
Powers: Eiko can see the future, although her power is more complicated than it sounds. On one side, it happens mostly involuntarily, in the form of dreams, and she has absolutely no control over whose future she sees. It always ranges within a month at most though. On the other side, she can at times make it happen, by concentrating really hard. On these rare occasions, it comes as a vision, rendering her unable to move or react while it is occurring. So basically she becomes completely vulnerable to any attack.
Personality: Eiko is quite the cheerful, careless child, she lets nothing bring down her mood, and can actually light up the dimmest atmosphere. She is friendly to everything and everyone, so long as they reciprocate the good treatment. If someone acts in a "wrong" way around her, her personality can take quite the one hundred eighty degree turn. There have been many instances in which she has been called to the principal's office for beating someone up because they insulted one of her friends. She won't even think twice about punching a friend, and for someone with such a skinny complexion, it can and will hurt a lot. Due to her unseemly physical capabilities, Eiko has always been good at sports, specially in track running and football.
History: Ever since she was born, the values of respecting others and sharing were basically forced into Eiko, mostly because of the existence of her younger twin brother, Eiji. They were always extremely close, so the fights they had could be counted with one hand, and most of them happened when they still had little to no use of reason (although Eiji would argue that she still has little to no use of reason, to which Eiko would respond that he was way too much use of reason). Their parents were loving and always made sure that neither of them was spoiled, and that the treatment, rewards, and punishments they both received were equal. Nothing too special happened in their lives, except for the change from going to a regular school to a special high school. While it was relieving to not have to hide what they could really do, and actually be able to talk about it with others, it took away that feeling that they were special. Their little secret was no longer there, but they got through it quickly. If only, it only got their bonds to be stronger. This being their first summer after entering high school, their parents decided to send them to camp sequoia so they could continue to meet people and hopefully make new friends that were... special like them.
Human Appearance: She usually wears the hood down, and the ribbon is on her hair.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Accepted Profiles - Boys   Camp Sequoia EmptySat Jul 10, 2010 5:03 pm

Accepted Profiles

Staff:

Username: Arcanel-sama
Name: Vicente
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Jobs: Gym teacher, Cabin Chief, and Head of Security. He manages to be both a Cabin Chief and the Head of Security by leaving all the possible exits to the cabin rigged in multiple layers with things such as holy water, explosives, stakes and razor wire. On particularly wild or stormy nights there have also been snarls and growls heard beneath the floor of the cabin. How exactly Vicente rigs and unrigs the cabin every night remains a mystery to everyone, even the other staff members. His eccentric fulfillment of his role as Cabin Chief is also why no one has ever been under his care for two years in a row, and why the camp therapist seems to always start their rounds near his cabin.
Species: Ghost
Powers: Aside from the basic ghost abilities (Levitation, invisibility/limited intangibility, etc.) he was once a great thief and his extensive stay among demons has corrupted him to the point of primarily targeting weapons. How many of these he can use accurately is largely unknown and he has yet to manage to procure any historical or mythical weapons yet. He has, however, managed to obtain many various enchanted weapons that the creators would rather forget about.
Examples of his "Best Forgotten" collection:
The "Slow Down" Knuckles: These are a pair of iron knuckles whose enchantment went horribly wrong. Instead of hitting harder the faster they were swung, they did the opposite. Now swinging them quickly causes them to send the user flying while sluggishly inching towards some one until contact causes catastrophic damage.
The Vegan Fork: The origins of this bizarre item are unknown, however pointing it at some one and muttering "Meat is evil" will make them become violently sick the second meat touches their lips for 48 hours.
The Flaming Extinguisher: This is, basically, a fire extinguisher that spews multicolored flames that make whoever comes in contact with them hallucinate terribly for hours.
Despite his odd array of seemingly pointless weapons/objects he is clever enough to make use of them in extremely unpleasant ways. Among his more dangerous collection is a whistle that puts a strong compulsion to obey on anyone whose will to resist exceeds the user's will to command when they blow it, a cloak that makes the wearer look like a silhouette, chains that are drawn to lesser sources of demonic energy and binds them, and many other weapons/objects that most people never knew existed....and Vicente has likely forgot he ever obtained. His pride and joy, though, is a special black wood rosary necklace that allows him access to a personal storage dimension to keep his collection in. No one's quite sure where he got it from but it is certain that it's quite attached to him...the last camper that tried stealing it's bones are still occasional being spat out.
Personality: Despite his more...extreme management of his cabin, Vicente is likely one of the friendliest staff members. Though to say that would be putting it lightly, while at camp he tends to act like he's just another camper, even when performing his job as overseer of the Gym activities. This includes general tom-foolery, starting food fights, and flirting with anything female with a nice chest and legs, preferably younger than him.
However, when it comes to his duties, no matter how light-hearted he may come across as his history has left him as a perfectionist. In his previous(or rather now infrequent) career he had one shot to do something right, and that has certainly carried over. His (sometimes overly)friendly approach to being a staff member is just another form of his perfectionism; he knows that campers respond better to someone perceivable as a friend and ally, even if that some one is deciding what weapon to best detain them if need be.
History: Vicente had humble beginnings. He was born in pre-Victorian England as the son of a farmer on the edge of a King's land. When he was first brought into a village at the age of 12, he was called a demon, a warlock, and a hundred other assorted things. When the villagers called for the lord of their village to decide the fate of the boy, the lord quickly saw him as an opportunity to present him to the court to continue their collection of "odd people" that served in the castle. The royalty was thrilled at the present and gave the lord an easy promotion to better lands. Things went well for Vicente in the courts--the queen and the princesses took a liking to him for his sweet nature, strong figure, and unusually silky voice. When he finally became old enough to be considered a man, he was quickly considered open prey for all of the women in the castle, and this ultimately led to his being chased out of the castle. At the age of 16 Vicente became the most wanted man in all the king's land for having seduced and slept with the queen, her five daughters, and an unknown number of various castle maids.
After finally escaping the king's lands Vicente roamed from place to place, picking up odd jobs as he went. Eventually he came to the rival kingdom of where he was chased out of, and became something of a hero for having humiliated their enemy to such a degree. He was given land of his own land(as far away from the royal women, of course) and a congratulatory manor purely because the king wanted to tease his rival at any given opportunity. Vicente enjoyed the luxury for a while, it was an endless array of wine, women, and food. However at the age of 17 he was naturally getting restless and eventually began experimenting with thieving. As it turned out, his skills at sneaking around a castle on romantic exploits and his natural talent for it allowed him to procure multitudes of various riches, women that he should not have had, and many other things. He even gained enough money to simply leave his manor in the dead of night and traveled the country stealing what he pleased and ensuring that he kept an adequate number of women in his love life.
Eventually, he fell victim to a hubris that all thieves feel-the feeling that he could steal from anyone, even the most powerful king in England. He almost got away with it too...if he hadn't saw the teenage princess slipping out to meet a lover. As it turned out, his charm did allow him to keep her quiet...but in an act of what could only be extreme irony, the girl's forbidden guard lover went to her room to make sure she was ok and caught the would-be thief. Vicente was soon executed, but somehow his sense that there was always more in the world for him to explore and steal kept him around.
Centuries later the head councilor of the camp was out recruiting staff and had heard of a mischievous ghost that sounded like he could have a nice role the project. Vicente, now a bored ghost that had seen kingdoms rise and fall around him and benefited from it all in every way possible, was biting at the bit for a new experience. Little did he know that the experience would change and corrupt him, making him a weapons enthusiast unlike any other and turning his cunning towards more dastardly things. It also rekindled his old womanizing self and gave him an appetite even larger than his old one. And thus Vicente 2.0 was created, entirely on accident and to the great humerus joy of the head councilor.
Appearance: As with his attitude, Vicente's appearance is yet another thing about him that makes some of the more professional staff members cringe. His hair is light white/grey and usually tousled, he has a scar over his right eye(supposedly from trying to steal Excalibur) and is a heterochromat. His left eye is a stormy blue color and his right eye is an extremely bright brown that appears to be a faded orange.
Casual Dress- When dressed casually he's typically in an unbuttoned designer t-shirt, frayed shorts, and flip flops when he can be bothered to remember to wear them.
Formal Dress- When dressing formally, he wears an old-school suit and tie complete with bowler cap and cane, and pulls it off quite stunningly.
Security Duty- When out on security duty he simply dons his cloak and slips off as an anonymous silhouette.

Campers:

Username: Kira
Name: Aiden
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Roommate:
Powers: Pyrokinesis - he can control fire with his mind. He's not that skilled with larger fires yet, but he has good control when they aren't that large. Largest fire he has ever tried to control was one about the size of a bonfire. He tries to be careful when using his powers because if he can't handle it, bad things might happen, and he doesn't want that to happen.
Personality: He's kind, a bit outgoing and can easily make friends. He does have a bit of a temper though, but he tries to keep it under control because sometimes he uses his powers when he loses control of his emotions. He gets along well with both genders and wouldn't mind dating either, which goes to show how comfortable he is with himself. There aren't many insecurities that he has, except when it comes to his power, and it seems like things go pretty well for him. Of course, no one is perfect, he just has some incredible luck so far. This is his first time coming to Camp Sequoia and looks forward to it.
History: When Aiden was young, around four years old, a fire burned down his house with his parents still inside. He only managed to survive because of his mother's telepathic powers and his pyrokinesis. His mother died while trying to save her husband. The fire became too large and the house fell in on them before they could get to safety. Aiden lived in an orphanage after that for about a year, with counseling, and was soon adopted. Luckily, the family that adopted him weren't human, only appeared that way, and so he fit in just fine. This family had no other children, so Aiden grew up a bit spoiled, getting almost everything he wanted. It helped that he did well in school and never caused any trouble, since his adopted family did teach him good manners. He went to regular schools for elementary and middle school, and for high school he went to a private school for those like him (demons, elves, etc.). When it came time for summer at the end of his junior year, his parents (adopted ones) decided to send him to Camp Sequoia for the entire summer.
Human Appearance:
Spoiler:

Username: Shiro
Name: Eiji Hisashi
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Roommate: Aiden
Species/type of demon: Oracle (sees the past)
Powers: Eiji, contrary to his twin, can see glimpses of the past. These visions are triggered by physical touch, either of the person they're related to, or of an object that held significant emotional value to that person. However, unlike Eiko's power, they not only show him what the person saw, but also mix the emotions they felt with his own. This makes the burden of each vision much greater, and if they are too extreme, he can pass out for several hours during them.
Personality: Although quite like his twin in many ways, their personalities are one of the traits that easily differentiates them. While Eiji is also friendly and usually cheerful, he takes things way more seriously. From studies to people, he worries about the details. Because of this he gets really good grades at school, and is usually always thinking about others, but not to the extent where he hurts himself. However, when someone is mean to him, he can't just shrug it off or beat them up like his sister. Whether that's good or bad is still debatable, but there have been instances in which Eiko has had to cheer him up and then secretly threaten bullies to death for messing with her family.
History: See Eiko's form~ (Yes, I am that lazy)
Human Appearance:
Spoiler:

Username: Chibiboru
Name: Professor
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Roommate: Aiden and Eiji
Species/type of demon: Warlock
Powers: He can summon minor demons and use shadow magic. Prof's powers are used mostly for defense or keeping the enemy at bay until he can learn their weakness and strike...or get away, whichever he feels like doing first.
He doesn't ever use this power unless he knows someone is keeping a secret from him, but he can also link minds with others. He will be able to see what they see, feel what they feel, and know what they know. This effect is also given to the person he is linked to. When linked, both have control over their body, and their mind, they just have to concentrate enough to keep the other from knowing their every thought. Both see their own sight out of one eye, and what the other sees out of their other eye. He cannot control the other person when he links to them, and they cannot control him (unless that is their power). Linking is like invading the mind. The other person can feel it happen, and either feels empty or restless after he leaves. The link will wear off after ten minutes, if he doesn't unlink before then.
Personality: Professor is often happy, though he doesn't smile. His head is almost always buried in a book, and he is very intelligent. He can tell you his views on the world, theories for why things are the way they are, why something once thought extinct might exist, and why it might be right. It is because of this that the few friends he has call him 'Textbook.' His mood can shift slightly, but it pretty much always has the same happy roots. He will often talk to himself or to his demons, which he can understand (and they understand him). When he gets angry, he would rather just punch someone in the face with a smile on his own and walk away than get in an actual fight. He'll go off easy, but rarely does. He cannot stand the sight of blood, due to a traumatic event that he happened to see (and caused), but he will help anyone he can, as long as he doesn't have to see the blood.
History: Professor was neither created nor born, to his knowledge. Either way, he came into existence with the blood of a demon. He grew up in an orphanage, where he trained himself and eventually mastered his power of linking with others. He's always had a thirst for knowledge, and got his first odd job at the age of 10 (he was walking dogs and he got paid one cent an hour). He eventually became a staple of the orphanage, practically living there.
The orphanage, a few years ago, decided that he was too expensive to keep (he required more food, his demons, even though they thought it was just him being destructive, created the need for repairs, and his clothes and other expenses were becoming too costly), so they gave him $50 and sent him out. He grew up in a small town, and knew most of the people, so he could stay with anyone of his choice. He still hadn't mastered his ability to control demons, so one night, when practicing in the room he was staying in, he summoned a large demon that he couldn't control, and it killed those who had taken him in.
The next morning, both him and the demon were gone. Professor decided that he would never summon a large demon again, and stick to the ones he could control. He never stayed in one place for more than three hours, and suffers from insomnia. Whenever he feels exhausted, he borrows energy from a demon he summons (the demon gives it to him, there is no way for him to just take it). He formed bonds with certain demons, and those demons will help him whenever he calls. He heard of the camp, gathered what little belongings he had (which was just the $50 that he never spent and some old clothes the orphanage had let him keep, along with some he stole), and now looks to live there, at least for a while.
Human Appearance:Professor has a petite build; he looks smaller than he actually is. He is very thin and very pale. His hair is a dusty brown and his eyes are a dull silver with blue flecks near the pupil and outer edges of the iris. His hair isn't styled, since he doesn't have a brush or comb, so it's pretty much very shaggy (he runs his fingers through it to keep it as neat as he can), and just barely touches his shoulders. He has very little muscle mass, but he's stronger than he looks. He always has bags under his eyes, but one can hardly see them because his bangs touch down to the bridge of his nose (though you can still see parts of his eye and he can see through his hair).
He wears jeans that have at least five holes in each leg, ranging is size. He wears a rainbow tie-dye shirt that reaches down between his knees and hips, under a worn jean jacket that is a size too big for him. He wears no socks or shoes, and rough leather gloves, which are always on his hands. The soles of his feet are rough, dry, and dirty, though he keeps the rest of himself clean (the dirt and calluses make it easier for him to climb places and such).
Demon Appearance: none
Other: He gets tired out easily and always has a book under his arm (well, he would if he had one). Also, he's gay, as in likes guys.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyWed Dec 08, 2010 3:56 pm

Yukari stepped off the bus with all the other students after the long and noisy drive up. When you put a bunch of teenagers on a bus together, it tended to get pretty loud. It didn't bother her that much, but she didn't have any of her friends on the bus with her so she had been bored where she sat in the back, staring out the window. However, gazing at the camp before, she thought it looked like wonderful place. Hopefully she'd be able to make lots of friends and have fun while here for the summer.

Their luggage came on a separate bus and before they left, they were told that their belongings would already be placed in their assigned cabins for when they arrived. Yukari thought that was very nice of them. This way she didn't have to worry about her things getting to the right place. At least this way if they were in the wrong room it wouldn't be her fault.

She pulled the slip of paper out of her pocket which was the map of the camp. A circle had been drawn around the cabin she had been assigned to so she wouldn't forget which one it was. Getting herself oriented with where she was, she headed off with the crowd of girls towards their cabin. All the girls went to the right, and the boys went left. Luckily her cabin wasn't too far, and it was closest to the cafeteria, but it was a slight uphill walk to get to it. However, it didn't take long to get there, and she was the first one there. Sure enough, there on one of the beds in the cabin was her luggage sitting all neat and orderly. She looked over at some of the other beds and saw sets of luggage on two of the beds. There were a total of three bunk beds in the room, making a total of six beds.

Yukari checked the time and saw that it was about a half hour until lunch would be served. Seemed like they were giving everyone enough time to learn who would also be in their cabin with them and get to know each other. Yukari sat on the bottom bunk where her belongings sat and waited for the other two to arrive.

---

Aiden exited the noisy bus, and headed left with the boys to get to the cabins. He had been assigned to cabin one, the cabin which was the farthest back of all the cabins and at the top of a hill. Great.

He set out to trek up the hill through the cabins where he'd at least be able to watch as the other campers made their ways to their cabins. There was a group that seemed to also be heading to the furthest cabins that he was a part of and he wondered which ones were coming to his assigned cabin. Soon, many of the group split off to go to their cabins and he was left at the head of the group heading for his. It seemed his cabin mates hadn't made it all the way up here yet. They were probably not too far behind him and he just walked quicker because he was tall and had longer strides.

Upon entering the cabin he found his luggage sitting neatly on one of the beds, waiting for his arrival. Aide stood by this bunk bed (there were three), and waited for anyone else to arrive. There was one other set of luggage on another bunk bed, so he knew someone else was bunked here.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyWed Dec 08, 2010 9:09 pm

"Why do we have to walk all the way uphill?" Eiko complained, as she stood next to her brother right at the point where boys and girls were splitting up to head to their respective cabins. She had been lucky and gotten one of the ones that were closest to the cafeteria, and hence one of the ones where you didn't need to walk uphill that much. Eiji, on the other hand, had gotten the one that was furthest away on the top of the hill, which bothered her a lot. Even of they were supposed to make new friends there, she had wanted to spend time with her twin, not for him to be isolated on the top of some remote hill full of cabins she couldn't get near to. "Wait, I'll phrase that better. Why do you have to walk all the way up the hill? Out of all the tens of cabins, you had to be put in the most faraway one." She crossed her arms, knowing it was a pointless argument, but she still felt the need to complain.

"Calm down, at least we don't have to carry our luggage." Eiji sighed, looking at the hill he had to climb to get to his cabin and feeling already tired. Although he had to agree that the walk would be pretty long and tiring, it wasn't as if there was anything they could do about it. "Besides, the cabins are only the places where we'll sleep at, remember? It's not like we'll be separated by an invisible wall or something. There are plenty of things we can do at day where we can be together. We were supposed to make new friends here though, remember?" He earned an angry huff from his sister, to which he responded with a smile. Leave it to Eiko to be always stubborn, even about things that there was no point in arguing about. "Come on, the sooner we get to our cabins, the sooner we'll meet the people staying there with us, and I'm sure you'll be happy to spend some time alone with your new friends."

Eiko nodded, albeit reluctantly, and proceeded to wave her brother goodbye before heading towards her right, where the girls cabins were located. It was a short walk, and she appreciated that, especially since she was already tired from the bus trip. It was surprising how much sitting down on an uncomfortable bus seat through a bumpy ride could tire someone. Especially with all the noise. She finally got to her cabin, opening the door with a sigh, only to notice there was already someone there. She quickly changed her expression to a smile, taking in the appearance of what seemed to be one of the girls she would be sharing a cabin with. She seemed to be around Eiko's age, had platinum blonde hair tied up to one side of ehr head, and striking blue eyes. "Hi," She started, waving one of her hands in greeting, "I'm Eiko, nice to meet you. You must be one of my... uh, cabin-mates?" She asked a bit unsurely, scratching the back of her head idly. "Sorry, don't know what else to call it." She laughed, and located her luggage lying on one of the three bunk beds. The one where the girl she had just met also had luggage on it, and the empty one was the same. So apparently, there was one more girl that would be sleeping with them. She sat on what would be her bed, getting comfortable to wait for the other girl that would be in that cabin, and for lunch time to come.

---

Eiji let out a long sigh when he finally got to what seemed to be his cabin. The place was deserted, since most boys were in their cabins already, and the ones who weren't had stayed downhill. Lucky him to get the one that was probably farthest away. He pushed the door open, examining the inside of the small building. Three bunk beds, one bathroom, teenager standing next to one of the beds, two sets of luggage laying on two of the bottom beds. Wait. "Uh, hi," He said smiling, while raising one of his hands in greeting, taking a closer look at the boy he would be sharing a cabin with. He was tall, had strangely colored red hair, which then again wasn't so strange taking into account the kinds of people that would be there, and golden eyes. He walked over to the bed where his luggage was, flopping down onto it. Honestly, walking all the way up there had been tiring, and the bus ride had been quite bumpy and restless. He didn't know how that other kid could be standing so leisurely.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyWed Dec 08, 2010 9:46 pm

On the bus ride to the camp, Elymasu sat with a few friends from her previous years. Her voice contributed to most of the noise and her laugh almost deafened those closest to her. Judging by appearances, the slim blonde could never have reached such a volume even if she tried. She appeared the type to just sit still and smile demurely. Not a chance. The cat demon was loud, proud and shameless. She didn't notice the fellow campers who seemed uncomfortable with the level of noise the teens on the bus were emitting.

When the camp came into sight, Ely let out an ear-splitting squeal, causing her friends to wince and hit her. She stood up, pressed her hands and face to the window and jabbered on about how fun the summer was going to be. The bus slowed and Ely practically leapt to the door. Unfortunately, she didn't see a bar just under the roof of the bus. Her forehead hit it with a dull dong and she fell back onto a chair. There were several people laughing at her; Elymasu just grinned drunkenly. Her brains were addled enough before the impact; they didn't need further damage.

The teenagers slowly left the bus and Ely was one of the last to get off. The bus driver cast a worried glance at her while she zig-zagged toward her new cabin. She pulled out her map and squinted at it. The circle of red marked her cabin, but her vision had to clear before she could read the number. Her friends waved to her as the went toward their cabin.
"Aww," she muttered. "I'm not with them? Who the hell am I with, then?"
Several people walking by looked at her strangely, probably wondering why she was talking to herself. Ely checked the map again and discovered she could see clearly. She was in cabin one! What a great number, she thought to herself, before skipping toward the small building.

On the way, she tripped once and smeared mud on her jeans. Elymasu didn't mind, she'd be able to change them when she got to the cabin. She finally managed to get to the cabin and swung open the door - somewhat dramatically.
"Hullo!" she grinned, stepping into the cabin. "I'm Elymasu!"
There were already two girls in there, both fellow blondes. The former had very bright blue eyes, while the latter had a jade-green. Ely cast her own olive-coloured eyes around room, before letting them rest on the two strangers.

((Yukari's hair is supposed to be like a platinum blond, Shiro-chan :3))

It wasn't too long before another girl entered the cabin that Yukari was in. She chuckled a bit a when the girl questioned if cabin-mates was the right term to use.
"I suppose you can call me that, but I prefer to go by Yukari since that's my name," she replied with a smile, "it's nice to meet you."
She watched as Eiko made her way to the bed where her belongings sat, and then proceeded to sit down with them. There was only one more girl to arrive at their cabin, and it was quite obvious when that girl arrived. Dramatically the door swung open and in stepped a girl, proudly proclaiming her greeting and introduced herself as Elymasu. Yukari chuckled at the enthusiasm this one had, guessing she might have an interesting time with these two.
"Hello," she greeted Elymasu, "I'm Yukari, and the one who got here just before you is Eiko." She motioned towards the other girl, figuring it would be fine to introduce the other. It would move things along a bit quicker if they got names out of the way now.
"Are you two looking forward to camp this summer?"

---

Aiden watched as another boy entered the cabin and he smiled at the other warmly. After the other gave a small greeting, obviously a bit shy, Aiden took it upon himself to get the introductions out of the way.
"Hello, I'm Aiden, what's your name?" He asked, sitting down on the bed behind him since the other had made himself comfortable on the other bed. The blond boy seemed to be a bit tired from walking all the way up the hill to here. Aiden hadn't particularly cared for that exertion either, but being one who leaned towards being more athletic Aiden was used to such things which meant he recovered faster from it.

PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyThu Dec 09, 2010 12:59 pm

Eiko smiled at the girl who had introduced herself as Yukari, glad that at least it seemed that she was friendly. She didn't particularly want to be in bad terms with one of the people she would be, well, practically living with. She was about to make a question, to start a conversation or whatever when the door suddenly swung open quite dramatically, and a cheerful looking girl let herself in, announcing herself loudly. She laughed a little, and nodded when Yukari introduced her. "Nice to meet you. Mind if I call you Ely?" She added with a toothy smile, guessing that Elymasu would be too long to say every time. "Oh, and I could call you Kari," She turned to look at Yukari, the smile never leaving her lips, "If you don't mind, of course. Both your names are too long," She whined a little, but with a playful demeanor. The new girl seemed quite nice and friendly too, albeit a little over dramatic and energetic like a bunny, despite her physical appearance, although that was okay with Eiko.

"Well, to be honest, I wasn't so sure at the beginning, but I guess it's looking good so far," She smiled at Yukari, sitting in a more comfortable position on the free space her luggage left on the bed, "I got to meet you guys, and I guess Eiji was right about us not having to be apart all the time..." She tracked off and absent-mindedly looked out the window near her bunk bed. She wondered how her twin was doing, and if the boys he would be sharing a cabin with were as nice and friendly as Yukari and Ely. She'd have time to ask all sorts of questions during lunch anyways, and she could also introduce him to her new friends.

------

Eiji watched the other boy sit down on another of the beds. Since there weren't any other sets of luggage in the cabin, he guessed it would be just the two of them sor the rest of the summer, unless someone decided to come into camp when it was alredy half starrted. "I'm Eiji, nice to meet you too," He answered to the other's greeting, glad that at least he seemed like a friendly person. They were supposed to make new friends while at camp, so this was a good start, to say the least.

"Is this your first time in camp, or have you already come here in other years?" He asked, a little curious as to what other teens' personal opinions of the camp were. Besides, if it wasn't Aiden's first time, he could ask about the interesting things to do here, the fun places to go. The camp was honestly quite big, so if he had to explore and look for something to do from a scratch, he'd waste at least an entire day just on doing so.

"Kari is fine," she agreed, liking the fact she was being given a nickname. The other girl then went on about how things were looking better than she thought they would. Yukari smiled and then shifted her position to be a little more comfortable, putting her weight on her hands as she placed them down on the bed on either side of her hips.
"That's good," she began, "and who's Eiji?"
Yukari was guessing that Eiji was either a friend or a relative, since those were the only two logical reasons to why Eiko talked about them the way she did.

---

"Nope, this is my first time at camp. My parents thought it would be a good idea for me to come," Aiden answered, leaning back on his hands and crossed his legs, "what about you? Is this your first time at camp?"
Aiden had a feeling it might be his first time, but it was always good to ask.

As the platinum blonde introduced her and the other girl, Elymasu waved enthusiastically at them. Then she was clambering onto the top bunk, her feet scrabbling to find a foothold on the frame. Yukari asked if they were looking forward to the camp and she stilled and grinned at the girl.
"Ohyes!"
She said it very quickly, in one breath, then resumed climbing the bunk. Elymasu stopped again, this time looking at the green-eyed blonde. She hung from the bunk, too short for her feet to touch the ground.
"Sounds great!" The cat demon grinned.

She finally managed to get her feet onto a bar and pushed herself up. Ely landed in a heap at the other end of the bed. The shock of it made her pause, then giggle happily. She untangled herself and flipped over, so that she was on her stomach and looking down at the other two. Eiko had just mentioned someone called Eiji and Kari had asked who they were. Ely's hair was a mess now; the strands were all messed up and mostly to the right of her face.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptySun Dec 12, 2010 7:36 pm

Eiko giggled a little while Ely scrambled onto the top bunk of her bed. That girl sure acted like some sort of overgrown hyper-active kitty. An overgrown crazy hyper-active kitty with messy hair. Not like she had anything against that though. The more lively a person was, the better. Plus, it meant it would be lots of fun to hang around her, since she most surely wouldn't oppose to doing crazy stuff, which, in the end, was the best part of hanging around with friends, wasn't it?

"Oh, Eiji is my younger brother... well, younger twin brother, so I'm not sure if I should really say younger," She laughed a little, the age difference between them was mere minutes, so there was no real point in calling him her younger brother, was there? Then again, being the older gave her the right to tease, but that was something between Eiji and her. "Our parents sent us to camp this summer so we could make new friends, but since he's a boy, we kid of went out separate ways to get to our cabins." Her thoughts went back to Eiji for a moment, wondering if he had already made it to his cabin. It was the one furthest up the hill...

A thought then hit her, something she really wanted to know right now. "So, what are you guys? I mean, what makes you... special?" She looked at Kari, then at Ely, trying to predict what their 'powers' would be. It was hard though, since at first sight all of them would easily be mistaken as 'normal'. Kari she had no idea, but Ely seemed like a demon or a shape-shifter. Or maybe she just reminded her too much of a kitty.

---

"Yup. Much like you, our- I mean my parents thought it would be a good idea for us- me to come and make new friends that are also... well, special." He scratched the back of his head a little. He was way to used to talking in plural, what with him and Eiko always being together. Great, he had totally sounded like he had some kind of double identity disorder. "Sorry for that, I have a twin sister and I'm way too used to us being together, so... old habits die hard, I guess."

Yukari chuckled as she watched Ely's antics in climbing up to the top bunk, landing with a light thud which cause her hair to become a bit messy. Ely had already given her reply of looking forward to it. She then nodded to Eiko who told them about her younger brother and why they were here at camp. Eiko then asked what made them "special" and Yukari couldn't help but giggle at the question.
"You make it seem like it's taboo to talk about," she teased, "well, I'm a fox demon."
She smiled at Eiko then looked to Ely for her answer about what she was.

---

"Haha, it's okay. It sounds like you two are close, which is great. I don't have any siblings, so I don't know what it's like," Aiden replied.
Suddenly another set of luggage appeared on one of the beds out of thin air. Aiden blinked in surprise, thinking that was an interesting way of getting someone's luggage to their cabin. Well, it looked like they would have another roommate for the summer. After the distraction of the luggage, Aiden turned his attention back to Eiji.

Elymasu learnt that Eiko had a twin brother, which was wonderful. She didn't have any siblings of her own, which was a shame. She tilted her head, trying to imagine what it would be like; to be separated from one you'd been with since birth. Ely assumed, from things she'd seen, that the twins would have spent a great deal of time in each others company. Parting could have been potentially painful and stressful. A feminine giggle brought her from her thoughts and she focused her attention on Kari.
"You make it seem like it's taboo to talk about," the girl said teasingly, "well, I'm a fox demon."

Ely's olive-green eyes narrowed and she shrank into the mattress slightly, eyeing the fox demon slightly mistrustfully. How close were foxes to dogs? Hopefully not too close. The demon relaxed, but still kept an eye on the platinum blonde.
"I'm a cat demon," Ely announced, as she flashed a grin to the pair of them. "Mreooww!" She moved her hand in a slow scratching way.
Ely rolled onto her back, giggling happily, the fox demon's potential danger momentarily forgotten. Then she stopped and looked at them with a dead-pan expression, still on her back. Her hair hung down and her eyes were wide.
"I'm speshuuuul."
And she was laughing once more, delighted with her own silliness.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyTue Dec 14, 2010 4:34 pm

Professor sighed, letting his head hang backwards over the arm of the demon that was carrying him. It was made of shadows, though they were very densly packed and almost solid, so his neck only made a slight dent. The boy kicked his feet, which were hanging over the demon's other arm, and opened his eyes. His gaze was almost blocked by the demon's gauntlets, which were a deep black with silver trim with light green gems dangling off of the opening where it's hands were. "I hate missing the bus." Professor sighed again. The demon made a serious of grumbles and grunts. "True, we are here now, and we never were far behind the bus, but I'm glad I wasn't on it." The boy closed his eyes once again and leaned his head against the demon's upper arm so that he didn't have to stare at the gauntlets if he opened his eyes again.

The demon, again, produced a series of (obviously) demonic noises, and Professor turned his head to look up to the top of the hill. He suddenly looked disturbed, like he had seen something he would never be able to forget. "Uh...th-the top of the hill? J-just put me down when we're done ascending." The demon made no gesture or noise, just continued moving toward the hill. Professor kept his eyes open until it was time for him to walk once more, but shut them for a few seconds when the demon set him down. He sighed again as the shadows swirled around him and soon dissipated. He ran his fingers through his hair quickly, adjusted his ajcket, knocked on the cabin door, and entered anyway. Seeing two others in the cabin, his spirits were lifted, yet crushed at the same time. He wouldn't be alone, but now others would have to deal with his problems, and he could deal with being alone at night, but when there were others and he couldn't sleep AT ALL, it wasn't the most fun situation, since you couldn't do anything loud, complicated, or anything of that nature. Nevertheless, he smiled at his cabin mates. "Oh hi guys, sorry I'm late." Professor scratched his cheek gently. "I missed the bus." Seeing his little backpack that served as luggage sitting on one of the bottom bunks, he walked over to it and sat down beside it. "A comfy bed? Awesome." He thought, patting the pillow.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyThu Dec 16, 2010 6:07 pm

Eiko laughed a little at Kari's tease, but nodded when she explained she was a fox demon. "Sorry, I didn't really know what else to call it. Powers?" She laughed again, then listened to Ely. A cat demon. She couldn't help but giggle at the spesuuul she let out, and the girl's odd antics. This summer promised to be fun if she'd get to live with these two. "Wow, I'm surrounded by demons then. Were they always that common, or am I just way out of the loop?" She asked with yet another laugh. She was having a lot of fun and camp had barely started. She could see now why her parents had wanted her to come here with Eiji.

----

Eiji was about to say something about Aiden not having siblings, when sudden movement somewhere on his peripheral vision caught his attention. A small backpack fell on the single empty bunk. He frowned a little, figuring it was the camp's particular way of transporting luggage. However, he couldn't stare for too long, because some knocking on the door caught his attention yet again, his head turning just in time to see another boy entering the cabin. He had a skinny build, much like himself, and long, slightly messy hair that covered his eyes. He greeted them and explained he missed the bus, to which Eiji absently nodded. This kid seemed... strange. Not in a bad way, just not the normal kids he was used to seeing. When he sat down on his bed, he noticed he wasn't wearing any shoes, and his feet were all dirty and calloused. After staring for a second, he realized he might have been rude for doing so and quickly spurted out an apology, a small blush appearing on his cheeks as he did so. "S-sorry, I-I didn't notice I was... s-staring."

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyThu Dec 16, 2010 7:05 pm

Professor fell back onto the bed and kicked his feet in the air. "It's okay," He said, his voice cheerful. He laughed quietly and turned his head to look at his backpack. "I've been through worse than just someone staring." His eyes slowly closed as he mumbled. Suddenly, his feet stopped midair and dropped to the floor. He sat up quickly, almost hitting his head on the bunk above his. He ran his fingers through his hair and attempted to make it neater. "I probably look really dirty." Professor laughed nervously. He opened his eyes and looked around the room. It was probably too early for a shower. Just how dirty was he? Did he really look bad, or was it his imagination? The other boys looked clean, or atleast cleaner than he thought himself to be. He didn't mind being dirty when he was by himself, but making a good first impression was always good...or was it too late for that? He scratched his cheek gently again, as if it was a nervous tick, which is might as well could have been. He had no idea why he always did that. "H-hey, do you guys know what time it is? Oh, and, my name's Professor, but you can call me Textbook, or Prof, since almost everyone does." "At least, the friends I have left do." He said, realizing he hadn't introduced himself. Maybe it wasn't too late for a shower? But why was he thinking about that right now? He had friends to make and a bed to sleep in...if he slept. At least he could sit in it. He thought about these thoughts for a moment (he's always had a random train of thought...). He realized that his life up until now had been somewhat cliche, though usually, demons aren't involved. His mind trailed back into the theater of his memories. He snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention to the two infront of him. He noted the blush on the blond boy's cheeks, and turned to look at the (literally) redhead's eyes, which were a bright yellow. "Strange, but, I guess it's to be expected at a camp for demons and 'special' kids."

Camp Sequoia Empty

Aiden looked up when the other walked into the cabin, saying hello and telling them he had been late for the bus. Eiji stared at him, which apologized for, but Professor (which he introduced himself as) said it was okay.
"My name is Aiden," he said with a smile, "it's nice to meet you. As for the time, it's about forty-five minutes until noon. If you want to shower, you can."
((/fail.))
---

Kari chuckled at Ely's antics, especially when she said "speshul". The girl had plopped herself down on the top bunk, relaxing after what seemed like looking anxious when Yukari mentioned she was a fox demon. Of course, Ely had nothing to worry about since cats and foxes weren't enemies.
"Are you a demon as well?" Yukari inquired to Eiko when the other mentioned how she was surrounded by demons, asking if they were this common.

Eiji smiled when he was assured the new boy -Professor, as he had introduced himself- had forgiven him for his ride staring. He suddenly seemed nervous though, and asked about the time. He frowned a little, wondering if Aiden or Eiji himself had done anything that could have triggered that kind of behaviour. "Why are you suddenly so nervous? Did we do something...?" He sounded concerned, and he really was. It must've been tough enough for the boy to come all the way to the camp alone, after missing the bus, he didn't want to make him any more uncomfortable or tired.

Camp Sequoia Empty
PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyMon Dec 20, 2010 6:25 pm

Professor shook his head vigorously, suddenly feeling like he needed to hurry up and go take a shower, even though it was probably too late for that. "No no, you guys didn't do anything. It's just...when you're carried behind a bus on a long trip, you don't have much protection from the dirt, and I just wanted to make a good impression." He smiled awkwardly and looked down at his lap. "Probably a bit late for that, but it's not the only reason. In all truth, this is the cleanest place I've been for a while, and I don't really want to mess it up." He shifted his position slightly so that he could reach into his bookbag once again. Maybe he could at least change clothes before lunch, but why worry about it now? Lunch was forty-five minutes away; he could just change later. Was there even a point? After all, he had already made somewhat of an impression on his cabin mates; would the other campers really matter? Of course they would matter, but how much was the question. Apparently not much, since he wouldn't see them for most of his time here. Well, he didn't have to see his cabin mates all the time either.

Once again, Professor's thoughts got away from him in the middle of a conversation. "Sorry, I space out sometimes." Once again, he scratched his cheek. "So," He started, attempting to change the subject off of himself, even if just for a moment. "What's your name?" He asked the blond who seemed suddenly concerned or upset, one or the other.

Eiji nodded when the boy explained why he had gotten nervous, although he frowned when he mentioned this was one of the cleanest places he had been to. The cabin wasn't particularly clean, it was just... normal. Didn't Professor have a house? The thought actually lit up some bulbs in his head, it would make a lot of things clearer if that was the case. The lack of shoes, shaggy and long haircut, everything. He suddenly felt a little sorry for the boy, although he didn't voice any of those thoughts. If something had happened for things to be this way, it wouldn't be something anyone would readily talk about, or appreciate if others brought it up. If Prof wanted to talk about it, he could mention it himself. Eiji wouldn't push him either way.

"Oh, sorry," How could he have forgotten to introduce himself? His cheeks lit up yet again with the same pink color from a while before, when he had been embarrassed for having unconsciously stares at the newest member of their cabin. "I'm Eiji. Nice to meet you," He tried a smile, although with his previous thoughts and current embarrassment, it came out more awkward than anything. He silently cursed himself for not being able to get it together even to smile properly. These two probably already thought he was weird, or uncool. Not that he was 'cool' to begin with. He suppressed the urge to his his head against a wall. Oh whatever.

PostSubject: Re: Camp Sequoia   Camp Sequoia EmptyMon Dec 20, 2010 10:17 pm

The bubbly blonde rolled back onto her stomach to see the other two properly. Her head was slightly tilted and her murky green eyes were alight with interest. Her lips were set in a small smile and her fingers were linked in a somewhat demure gesture.
"I wouldn't know if demons were common," Elymasu chuckled lightly. "But there are quite a few kids at the camp this year!"
Kari asked if Eiko was a demon as well and the cat fixed her happy gaze upon the girl.
"Yeah," she added thoughtfully. "Are you?"
She freed one hand and brushed some stray hair from her face as she waited for the reply.
